Feadóg Pro D Black Whistle with Book & CD

This pack includes a Black Pro “D” Feadóg Whistle and a comprehensive Tutor Book that uses a step-by-step approach, music notation and fingering for a variety of classic songs and dance airs. The CD accompanies the tutor book page by page to allow you to hear the songs being played on the Feadóg for added help.

The Feadóg Black Pro “D” is a substantial whistle for the intermediate to advanced player. It is powder colour coated to give a more rounded and solid tone. It has been developed with the professional musician in mind and is therefore suitable for the whistler with more serious aspirations. The thicker nickel body feels substantial and produces a more wholesome sound than other entry-level nickel instruments.

Beginners may not immediately be comfortable with the more fluid wind requirement of this instrument but consistent practice will be rewarded. It’s free blowing and needs the player to be disciplined with breath control. Once this is mastered you should be well on the way to rattling off many a jig or reel – without having to invest in a more expensive whistle.
